British/Iranian artist Parisa has been singing since she was a child and graduated from The Musical Theatre Academy (London) in 2014.
She began writing music seriously whilst on tour with Mamma Mia, her first professional job upon graduating, in 2015 and has been writing and releasing her own music ever since. She released her debut album Working From Home in April 2020 and it peaked at No1 on the iTunes Singer/Songwriter Charts.
Parisa began crossing over into writing for theatre whilst in rehearsals for Fisherman's Friends. A song penned by Parisa called The Tidal Pool, was heard by the creative team and subsequently added into the production for the 22-23 UK/Canada Tour. The song now features on the Original Cast Recording released in 2023 through Mighty Village (Island Records UK.)
Her debut musical Medusa was selected for NAMT’s 36th Annual Festival in New York (New World Stages), featured at BEAM 2025 Festival (Birmingham Hippodrome), and was a Stiles & Drewe Mentorship Award finalist. In 2025, she received a DYCP Grant from Arts Council England and in 2026 joins the National Theatre’s Writing Attachment Scheme.
