“an ethereal vocal quality and a remarkable skill for songwriting” - Beyond The Stage

Parisa’s voice as a writer for the stage is very much a blend of empowered political feminism & raw, authentic storytelling through song.

During the development run of the Fisherman’s Friends, a song penned by Parisa called The Tidal Pool, was heard by the creative team and subsequently added into the production for the 2022-23 UK/Canada Tour. The song now features on the Original Cast Recording released in 2023 through Mighty Village (Island Records UK.)

Parisa began writing her first original musical, Medusa, in March 2023. In June 2024, Medusa was selected as 1 of 8 shows to be featured at NAMT's 36th Annual Festival of New Musicals in New York in October 2024. In May 2025, Medusa was featured at BEAM 2025 Festival at the Birmingham Hippodrome. During that time, Parisa was also selected as 1 of 12 Finalists for the Stiles & Drewe Mentorship Award.

In 2025, she received a DYCP Grant from Arts Council England to begin R&D for a new musical project and in 2026 will join the National Theatre’s Writing Attachment Scheme.

Parisa began writing her debut musical, Medusa, in March 2023 whilst on tour with Fisherman’s Friends.

By August 2023, she had a completed first draft and began creating a concept album for the piece with her UK collaborators.

In February 2024, Parisa received funding from Help Musicians UK with which she self produced an industry showcase of Medusa at London's, The Other Palace in April 2024 starring Parisa as Medusa.

Shortly after, Medusa was then selected as 1 of 8 musicals to be featured in NAMT's (National Allegiance of Musical Theatre) 36th Festival of New Musicals in NYC in October 2024.
